  • Message from the Muse

For years I have imagined a website devoted to Inspiration. Before launching a website, we're opening the duirs to a little experiment on typepad's blog site. If you're an artist, dreamer or seeker, stop by and let us know what you think. Help us champion the Muse's cause.
  • Guardian: Cemeteries and their Sentinels
Have you seen our latest project? On a recent trip through the world of imagination, I stumbled across an old, forgotten graveyard. The sculptures, stones, moss, trees and leaves were alive, whispering the wisdom of ages. I hope the haunting beauty of their message shines through this film. We're working on a coffee table book of the guardians who allowed me to photograph them and the magic places they call home.
  • Goblin Design

If you enjoy the world where fantasy meets design, you'll love Silas Toball's Goblin District. Check out the original fairy tale 'The Princess and the Star.'
  • Duirwaigh to Publish Tori Amos 2008 Calendar!

IThe new 2007 Tori Amos charity calendar, benefitting RAINN, is on sale now. We're thrilled to announce the 2008 calendar will be a Duirwaigh project and will be filled entirely with Duirwaigh artists! Ain't that the bee's knees?

Halflaf Oh, It's you!

So glad you stopped by. I've missed you terribly! What? What do mean you've been waiting for ME? You say I haven't been here? Well, that's a matter of opinion. I've been here, I've just be invisible. Maybe we should practice our mind reading skills.

It's been quiet here for some time. I know, you wander by to see what's new and all you hear are the night winds and the crickets wings. I intend to make it up to you first by mentally sending you frozen fruity libations topped with umbrellas and a cabana boy to oil your sun-drenched skin and second, by dipping you in visual joy and rolling you in bliss. Translation? I have a new film for you, my friends!!  Actually it's a slideshow-videoish kind of thing. It's called "The Heavens Rejoice" and is inspired by a true love story. Silas Toball, my creative partner and soul mate, penned a love song (of sorts!) for me last Christmas. I, in turn, have penned a visual love letter back to him, and the marriage of the two is "The Heavens Rejoice", our love letter to YOU!

I have one question, can you feel the love tonight? (hey, who let Elton John in here?) You may unfold the letter here...

In other news...

Fairycover_w_id13Ian Daniel's new book "Professor Dalrymple's Fairy Catching System" is now out. We've got the first copies and boy are they fun! We've also got the original paintings from the book (while they last, we've already been fielding phone calls...they're so fetching!) and new originals from Ian's other new books Greenman, Dragonlore, Wizard's Bestiary are on their way.

Toriamosoriginal_w Matt Stewart has also been hard at work and has several new paintings available. WORD UP! He's also taking commissions and has done some of the finest work I have seen in years. Too bad our images don't do his work justice. No matter how we photograph them, we always hear the same thing from collectors "OH MY GOD!! This is so much prettier in person!" Yeah, we know. Just look at his contribution to the Tori Amos calendar.

Alicetori_wGary_wVirginia_w_2And speaking of Tori...

TORI AMOS calendar is finished and is in the hands of the folks at RAINN. I am guessing that it's at press by now and will be available in September. Here are some images to tantalize you! When we have word of the printing, we'll begin taking pre-orders.

We've just added puzzles by Linda Ravenscroft and Kinuko Craft.  If you like a good challenge, pick one up. They're stunning in detail and color, not cheesy like some of the puzzles you've seen on the market! These are real gems...

OH, there's more...but I am going to leave that until next time. Soon you will see the arrival of new paintings by Terri Windling, the Linda Ravenscroft's Mystic Fairy Tarot Deck, new originals by Gary Lippincott, with a more than a few surprises.

As always, enjoy the inspiration then PASS IT AROUND!
