My throbbing, complaining body reminds me to slow down, to move at the pace of wellness. I don't know why physical challenges exist, why our bodies ache and age, but I do know there's a wealth of vitality available to us if we open our consciousness and reach beyond the surface of seeming reality.

So that's the topic this week, as I ponder my throbbing back, WELLNESS. How do we embrace more well- being in our lives? Open to it? Embrace it? Attract it?

Until next week, be well.

So this Monday has nearly passed into Tuesday. I am neck deep in the moving sale preparations over at Duirwaigh and so have fallen behind with this blog. So here's what I'm gonna do. This Monday's topic is TIME, 'cuz I seem to be running out of it. But that's all relative, right? I have all the time I need...

and so do you! If you'd like to create an affirmation regarding Time, you have all week to post. I'll pop over tomorrow to list a new topic for NEXT Monday, but I look forward to seeing what you do with "Time."

Money often gets a bad rap, especially in the West. Perhaps no other form of energy suffers more complexity, as money is both friend and foe. Or so we're told. Here's how I like to think of it: money is a resource, like the oxygen we breathe, like the sun that shines on our skin. And did you know that the sun creates enough energy IN ONE DAY to run every machine on earth for a thousand years? Just think about that. It's plentiful, available and FREE. So is money, if we could just understand how it works. Ours is an abundant universe, just awaiting our wishes. So tell me your affirmations about this beautiful, green, lush resource and how you'd like it to work for and with you!

So the Affirmation Monday topic for April 7, 2008 is NOW. This present
moment. I must say I love that Eckhart Tolle is enjoying a moment of
public awareness while being featured on the Oprah show. If you haven't
been watching it, go catch up on Oprah.com! The weekly
webcasts--discussing the future of our planet and the hope for
humanity's continuation as a species--focus on Awareness and
Consciousness. (As fate would have it, the live web events are Monday
nights! While our affirmation juices are a-good and flowin'! But don't
worry if you miss one, you can see all episodes on Oprah.com as a
stream-on-demand or even download it! FOR FREE!) As a student of these
self-growth topics for the past decade, I am literally doing little
happy dances each day as I consider that this kind of teaching is no
longer relegated to the fringe of society, but is actually finding its
way to the center of the tapestry. YIPPEE! And to celebrate, we'll
dedicate next Monday's affirmations to The Now.

The point of power is always in the Now. We've heard it a thousand
times: it's called the "present" for a reason; it's your most potent
gift. So affirm for yourself what your Now is unfolding. Shape it, sing
it, declare it your thing! Tell me how you are living your dream right
NOW.

New growth is everywhere. Even our cells recreate our bodies every seven years. Isn't that incredible? Every seven years we get a new body. So what prevents us from growing more healthy and more alive as we grow older? To a large extent, I believe it is our thoughts.

We grow our bodies, our ideas, our families, our careers, our dreams, our communities, our realities with our energy, which is another way of saying thoughts, since thoughts are merely energy in motion. I shouldn't say "merely" for there is nothing mere about thoughts. They're an incredible too, our most valuable tool.

Most of us have heard it before: thoughts become things. So tell me what you're materializing! Tell me how you're using your thoughts-seeds to create growth-garden and what kind of plants are blooming there.

Mary Mary
Quite Contrary
How does your garden grow?

Hey Mary Mary
Don't be contrary
grab your thoughts and your hoe
and plant a new row
a garden worthy of faerie!

OK, that was my Mother Goose moment. Your challenge this week, should you choose to accept it, is to create a personalized affirmation around the topic of GROWTH.

One, Two, Three...GO! (I mean GrOw!)
