Money
Money often gets a bad rap, especially in the West. Perhaps no other form of energy suffers more complexity, as money is both friend and foe. Or so we're told. Here's how I like to think of it: money is a resource, like the oxygen we breathe, like the sun that shines on our skin. And did you know that the sun creates enough energy IN ONE DAY to run every machine on earth for a thousand years? Just think about that. It's plentiful, available and FREE. So is money, if we could just understand how it works. Ours is an abundant universe, just awaiting our wishes. So tell me your affirmations about this beautiful, green, lush resource and how you'd like it to work for and with you!
As I thought of this week's affirmation, I meditated on what my heart's desire would be, if I were to have a steady flow of money generated by my art. I realized that everything I thought of, was connected in one way or the other - and all of it supported my undeniable passion for all things creative.
I visualize a loft studio in an old brick building, filled to the brim with everything imagineable to create my artwork. Coffee and chocolates to keep my senses tingling while I worked. Music filtering through all corners of the building. Sunlight streaming in, dancing on the rainbow of colored scarves and fabrics I had collected in my travels. Friends drifting in to flop in a comfortable chair and dabble in some art of their own, share in a belly laugh, or to simply read a book as I worked. Pamphlets scattered across a great big antique teacher's desk of all the places hubby and I plan to visit, whether an hour away...or on the other side of the world. All of it fuel for whatever flew out of my imagination that day, and hit the canvas. And someone falls in love with that creation, and pays me to continue doing what I do. The bee to honey.
So while I may be tucked away in my upstairs hallway nook for now, instead of a spacious artist's loft... I already readping the rewards of living what I visualize. And it all just keeps blooming and growing... with bigger blossoms every year.

This is the first project my boyfriend Sean "Winter" Husbands and I have worked on. I hope you like it as much as we do. We forgot to sign our names and copyright, mostly because I was so eager to show it off, so I posted it twice, with that information included on the second post.
The artwork is based on the concepts of Rhonda Byrnes' The Secret. The golden piggie lamp is the home of the Genie of the Universe, who materialises as a dollar sign, all of which symbolises prosperity and plenitude, wealth and riches, money and bounty and abundance.
The poem I wrote is based on the claims of the Secret, which convey the Universe as a benign and benevolent entity, showering you with happiness, rapture and bliss when you but believe that it is so.
As the poem says all you need to do is hold the image of what you want firmly and unwavering in your mind, so that you may create what you want, and then feel the feelings of joy and thankfulness for what you want as though you already have it, so that you may connect with your creation.
Then all you have to do is simply believe, not that it will be yours, but that it is yours NOW, so that you may draw it to you, attract it to you, and capture it and claim it for yourself.
The universe is a beautiful being, whose evolution is is completed connected with our existence. With every laugh laughed, every life lived, it becomes. I believe our purpose is to manifest our promise and our perfection so that the universe itself may manifest.
That is why it is, and that is why we are. I hope you enjoy our art-affirmation.
