How it Works

  • Each week, in mid-week, we'll post an affirmation topic on this page. Consider the topic and how you choose to manifest it in your life.

Create an affirmation from the topic (or not, you're not bound to the suggestion)!

Then paint, draw, collage, photograph or otherwise design your art-firmation. Writers, don't feel left out, you're welcome to write on the topic as well.

When you've posted your art-fimation to your blog, website or MySpace page, come to this page and list the permalink or hyperlink to your art.

You may download, collect, share and tag the art found on this site, but please respect our rules.

Growth

22196783Mother Nature astounds me. New growth is everywhere. Even our cells recreate our bodies every seven years. Isn't that incredible? Every seven years we get a new body. So what prevents us from growing more healthy and more alive as we grow older? To a large extent, I believe it is our thoughts.

We grow our bodies, our ideas, our families, our careers, our dreams, our communities, our realities with our energy, which is another way of saying thoughts, since thoughts are merely energy in motion. I shouldn't say "merely" for there is nothing mere about thoughts. They're an incredible too, our most valuable tool.

Most of us have heard it before: thoughts become things. So tell me what you're materializing! Tell me how you're using your thoughts-seeds to create growth-garden and what kind of plants are blooming there.

Mary Mary
Quite Contrary
How does your garden grow?

Hey Mary Mary
Don't be contrary
grab your thoughts and your hoe
and plant a new row
a garden worthy of faerie!

OK, that was my Mother Goose moment. Your challenge this week, should you choose to accept it, is to create a personalized affirmation around the topic of GROWTH.

One, Two, Three...GO! (I mean GrOw!)

Hi, Angi, Your blog is wonderful, really good energy. I have you in my Reader and will be checking in regularly. My creative affirmations are peppered with rants and accusations, so I hesitate to sign up. Here's my blog, just to let you know and you can visit if you like: http://indyanne.blogspot.com/

Wanted to tell you how every creative being loves an outlet like this. Thank you for creating an avenue for inspiring muses & artists alike.
Blessed be.

My thoughts about growth lead to musings about where it is I feel the most creative. Where my artistic soil is rich and abundant. Where every step, every breath, every blink of the eye is accompanied by a new thought, a new idea, or a new approach to old processes. The ocean, of course, was the natural conclusion. It is the heartbeat of my artistry! And so, the seeds I plant today in hopes of bountiful blooms... are the hopes that whatever I do, it leads to wonderful discovery and adventure in all kinds of places, as if I were setting sail on the sea with only a compass and the stars to guide me.
